May Tidings from Mike & Joan

Dear Friends,

Several times a week we have the opportunity to help save a life by moving a critically ill patient to the City of Oaxaca for medical care. Wednesday's flight involved a Christian friend from Barranca Honda who had been shot in the head Tuesday night. Thank you for the privilege you give us through your prayers and support to be able to help people like Augustin.

Ross Family May 2014 Prayer Requests

1) Please pray for safety in our flying as we move from sunshine and blue skies to lots of clouds and rain in the mountains were we fly.

2) Pray for paper work that has been pending for many months that could put our work at risk.

Ross Family April 2014 Update

We are expecting April to be a busy month.

Mike will be traveling to Florida with Edgar Rivera to attend LAMC (Latin American Managers Meeting). They will have the opportunity to hear what's going on around Latin America and around the world. Please pray that this will be a productive week for both of them.

We will also be saying goodbye to the DeVries family. Bruce & Wendy, along with their 3 girls, will be leaving Oaxaca mid-April. Please pray for them as they transition back to living and working in the States. We would also appreciate prayer for the team here as they adjust back to having only 2 pilots here in Oaxaca.

Ross Family April 2014 Prayer Requests

Please pray for Edgar and Mike as they attend an MAF regional conference April 7-11. Pray that they would both learn how to be more effective in ministry outreach to those who need to hear the Good News.

Pray for continued safety in our flight operations and for opportunities to share the gospel in the communities we serve.

Ross Family March 2014 Prayer Requests

There are no known Christians in the community of Piedra des Tabor. Praise the Lord for new open doors for ministry after the Parkside Dental Team visit in January. Pray for pastor Pedro and others as they share the Good News with families in this area.

Pray for continued safety for pilots and passengers in their flight program as they seek to serve the very needy.

Pray that more doors will be opened for the gospel as they show God’s love in practical ways.

Ross Family February 2014 Prayer Requests

Mexico  Praise that Joan continues to gain strength and energy after her surgery. Pray that God would strengthen the marriages of our three children and their spouses.  Pray for continued wisdom and safety in our flight operations.   Pray that God would provide a hangar where we can go for maintenance, provide paper work needed to fly our newest airplane and provide a long anticipated permanent resolution to our airstrip permits. 

Pray for the nine ESI groups that are meeting in Mexico.  Pray for the newest group which recently started in Amoltepec in an attempt to equip the pastors there.  Pray for wisdom in modifying the material and the pace so that it can be best meet their needs.  Pray for the Hebrews study which continues to meet weekly.  Pray that schedules will remain open and flexible to allow this group to meet regularly. 

The Ross Family January 2014 Prayer Requests

Please pray for grace for their aging parents.  Also pray for all the arrangements being made for the arrival of the ten-member Parkside dental team that will be ministering in the small community of Barraca Rica in Amoltepec, Oaxaca State during the last week of this month.  Pray for each one as they prepare for the trip, as well as safety in travels and health during their time in Mexico.  Pray that the lives they touch physically will be transformed spiritually for God’s glory.  Pray that the Christians will be encouraged and new doors will be opened for the gospel.  

Pray for the nine Equipping Servants Internship (ESI) groups who will start a new module of study this month. Pray that each participant will be changed by the study of God’s Word. Pray for safety and strength for Edgar as he makes bi-weekly seven hour bus trips to Pachuca to lead three groups. Pray for Neri as he juggles pastoral responsibilities with leading two ESI groups in Tapachula.

Ross Family December 2013 Prayer Requests

• Praise for successful surgery for Joan. Please pray for continued patience for Joan as she works through the healing process. We were pleased to receive good results from her biopsies. Pray that she will be strong enough to travel to Chiapas on the 13th.
• Pray for continued safety in our flight operation during this busy season of the year.

Joan Surgery Update 2

A quick note to let you know that the biopsies that were done during Joan’s surgery all came back clear. We thank God for this good report and for His continued grace in allowing us to serve in Oaxaca. Thank you for your prayers on our behalf.
