Dear Friends,
Please forgive us for our lack of communication. We spent September on an MAF mandated rest in Ohio with family. We are now back in Oaxaca trying to get back up to speed on all the things we missed during our trip.
Many have asked about the large earthquakes in Mexico in September. Oaxaca is located about 150 miles from the epicenter of the 8.1 and about 200 miles from the epicenter of the 7.1 near Mexico City. Members of our MAF team and church family in Oaxaca are all well and so are all their extended families who live closer to the epicenters. We did a number of flights moving patients to hospitals in Oaxaca and supplies to those left homeless. There have been a number of aftershocks so people are very concerned.
There has been a lot of rain the last couple of months which has forced us to cancel or postpone flights. Rainy season normally ends the beginning of November so we look forward to better weather soon.
We would appreciate your continued prayer for our service here in Oaxaca that God would use it for Kingdom purposes. Please pray for our family and especially for our parents who aren’t getting any younger. We continue to be thankful for our siblings who graciously watch out for our parents allowing us to minister in Oaxaca.
