James Family October 2015 Update
Hi from Cleveland! We trust you are well. We’ve just started our Home Assignment in the USA -- we'll be here until after Christmas. Thank you for praying for us and our ministry in Bolivia and across Latin America.
In the past 6 weeks I have visited Montevideo (Uruguay), Bogota (Colombia), Santa Cruz (Bolivia), and Loja (Ecuador) meeting key pastors and church-associations about needs they are facing. The overwhelming sense is that the Evangelical church is growing, but that it is incredibly weak and off-track due to a lack of grounding in God’s Word. There is a general respect for the Bible, but people are ignorant of what it says. That’s a recipe for heresy! The crying need is for discipleship. One pastor in Loja told me that he had gotten involved in the Health and Wealth heresy because he wasn’t reading his Bible, and it all seemed to make sense to him. But after studying Romans with us in ESI (Equipping Servants pastoral training) he decided to get serious about knowing God and His will by engaging in a life-commitment of study of the Word. The result is that God is using him to impact an entire denomination of churches in his city.

Greetings from Bolivia!
We trust you are well. Thank you for praying for us. We continue seeing significant advancements as pastors grow in their commitment to honor Christ being true to His Word -- to build the church and reach the lost.
Please pray for Debbie and me as we travel with Jeff and Terry Mills from Parkside Church to Uruguay August 7-11 to talk with key pastors and denominational leaders about the possibility of starting ESI (Equipping Servants pastoral training) in Montevideo. After that we'll be in Santa Cruz, Bolivia holding ESI pastors conferences August 12-16. Then to Colombia to talk with key pastors and denominational leaders in Bogota. James Family July 2015 Update
We thank the Lord for your partnership in ministry with us. I have a quick story to tell you about how encouraged we are watching God transform lives across Latin America as people study the Bible.
Two weeks ago we had our Equipping Servants (ESI) pastoral training graduation. We do these graduations every semester. We had 350 people attend in La Paz. Since beginning ESI in 2002 we have never had success impacting any of the the "prosperity churches". But some of our newer ESI leaders have close relationships with some of these groups. The largest group in La Paz has 15,000 members. Last year their leadership team agreed to study the Bible with us.

James Family July 2015 Prayer & Praise
• Praise for Equipping Servants (ESI) graduation in Bolivia in June. In La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz had 440 pastors and church leaders complete a variety of Modules in our 3-year program. One of the most encouraging aspects was hearing testimonies of the tremendous impact the study of Romans is having in the lives of so many Pentecostal pastors. Several told me, “We have never understood grace before – our lives and ministries have been transformed and will never be the same”.
• Pray for the 850 ESI (Equipping Servants pastoral training) participants in Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. Pray for the 1050 graduates, that many churches will be transformed as pastors and church leaders honor Christ by being true to His Word.
