    Hello from Bolivia!

I just returned from 10 days in Peru with a dental team from Parkside Church -- it was a wonderful time of ministry in the Quechua village of Angasmarka with our Equipping Servants pastoral training team. See photos from that trip in this Update.

Also I want to let you know about the link to a excellent video on SIM's ministry in Bolivia and ways you might get involved in taking the gospel to the least reached: https://vimeo.com/165218288

Thank you for praying with us that Jesus might be honored in Latin America,

    Kep and Debbie

    Equipping Servants (ESI) in Uruguay

Last August we met Uruguayan pastors who invited us to come to Montevideo to start ESI ministry. In April we invited SIM Uruguay director Andres Corrales and Pastor Aldo Fernandez to La Paz for ESI training. These are godly men who have a passion to see a stronger church in their spiritually needy area of South America. We discovered that our hearts sync in the same direction, believing the best way to accomplish this is engaging pastors in the study of God’s Word in the context of committed Biblical friendships.

Andres and Aldo plan to start ESI later this year in Montevideo. Pray for them as they select participants. Pray that the Lord will give Andres and Aldo wisdom to invite the right pastors and church leaders who will experience personal transformation, and be able to help others grow in Christ.

  • Missions Moment with Kep and Debbie James

Parkside missionaries Kep and Debbie James, in Cleveland for a 4-month home assignment, visited Pastor Jonathan Cameron’s Sunday morning Life Group on Dec. 6th to catch up and answer questions about their work in Bolivia. Here are some excerpts from that recent conversation:

Home Assignments, Mentors, and Pure Emeralds

We’re half way through our 4-month “Home Assignment”. We’ve spent quality time with family and friends, and currently are reconnecting with people at Parkside Church. My mentor has urged me, “Kep, less is more this time back in the States – make sure to get time alone with God, grow in your relationship with Debbie, and get some rest”. So during our stay, amidst the busy activities of meetings and time with people, we have added extra space to read, pray, reflect and learn. It’s been refreshing.
