    Dear Friends,

Please forgive us for not keeping you updated in a timely manner. We do appreciate your prayers! It is wonderful to see how God provides exactly what we need even when our prayers are not as specific as they could be.

January and February passed by quickly with the visit of two dental teams. It was wonderful to see how God provided several Mexican Christians to help with each team. Please pray that the seed sown in Barranca Rica and in Mamey would bear much fruit for the Kingdom.

Joan’s mom passed away on Feb. 10th after a couple of days in Hospice. We believe that God was honored in her life and in her death. We are thankful for the peace that God has given to all of us. We traveled to Ohio and were able to spend time with family.

    Dear Friends,

Please forgive us for our lack of communication. We spent September on an MAF mandated rest in Ohio with family. We are now back in Oaxaca trying to get back up to speed on all the things we missed during our trip.

Many have asked about the large earthquakes in Mexico in September. Oaxaca is located about 150 miles from the epicenter of the 8.1 and about 200 miles from the epicenter of the 7.1 near Mexico City. Members of our MAF team and church family in Oaxaca are all well and so are all their extended families who live closer to the epicenters. We did a number of flights moving patients to hospitals in Oaxaca and supplies to those left homeless. There have been a number of aftershocks so people are very concerned.

    Dear Friends,

Greetings from rainy Oaxaca. In the month of June we dealt with a lot of rain and clouds in Oaxaca. The landscape around us has changed from brown to green. We needed the rain but we dealt with three named tropical storms so we had lots of rain. The local reservoirs went from critically low to full in a couple of weeks.

As the weather permits we continue serving several mountain communities. We received a request to help open an old airstrip that hasn’t been used for many years called San Miguel. We will make a trip overland to inspect the airstrip next week and then follow up with a flight afterward. Please pray for wisdom and safety in the whole process. Pray for open doors to share the gospel in this Mixteco indigenous community.
