  • James' Family September Prayer Update

    • Pray for the ESI (Equipping Servants Internship) participants throughout Bolivia and in Oaxaca, Mexico. Currently we have 523 active participants involved in weekly training, and 325 graduates since we started ESI in 2002. Please pray that many churches will be transformed as pastors and church leaders learn to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures as they dedicate time to study God’s Word.

    • Pray for committed pastors who sacrifice much to open ESI in new regions. Pastor Antonio Cruz travels from Oruro (6 hour bus ride r/t) each week to Challapata to encourage and equip pastors. Pastor Jaime Cruz travels from Oruro (12 hour bus ride round trip) each week to lead ESI in the city of Potosi. Pastor Zenon Hurtado travels to the Oruro State mining center of Huanuni each week. Pastors in these new regions report good growth in their lives and churches.

    ESI Expansion

We thank God for godly Bolivian pastors He is raising up through ESI (Equipping Servants) to encourage and equip other pastors to follow Christ according to His Word. The work in the Bolivian cities La Paz, Cochabamba, Oruro, Potosi is going well. The work in Oaxaca, Mexico has gotten off the ground -- the 70 participants report changes in the way they are thinking and serving. There is a huge need to strengthen the church in the city of Santa Cruz (Bolivia’s largest city of 2 million). We are preparing to launch the work of ESI in 5 new Latin American countries in the next 5 years. So please pray with us as we pray, plan, and continue training and equipping pastors.

  • James Special Prayer Request

Thank you for praying for us and the work here in Bolivia. We'd especially value your prayer for our son Andrew with a team from Samaritan's Purse who left this morning on a 40-hour drive to Concepcion, Chile to help with the earthquake relief.
