*Please pray for the 2 weeks we’ll be traveling in Spain and Portugal (Jan 28-Feb14) meeting with pastors and denominational leaders in 6 cities. Please pray that the Lord will lead us clearly to know if we should start ESI Pastoral Training there.

*Please pray for the 2000 active participants in the 3-year Equipping Servants mutual discipleship process. Pray that people will grow to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures with a conviction to be gospel centered in all they think and do and how they serve.

James January 2019 Update

Dear Friends,

Thank you for praying for us and our ministry. We are finishing up a brief Home Assignment in the USA -- in two weeks we return to our work in Bolivia. We will return via Spain and Portugal, where we have meetings set up in 6 cities with key pastors and pastoral associations. Please join us praying for the Lord’s guidance. Pray that if we should set up Equipping Servants in Europe, the church there will recognize its need to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures – and desire to grow in a gospel-centered direction. One of the gauges we look for in order to start ESI in a new country -- is if we can find at least one local coordinator who will step forward in a volunteer capacity to mobilize other pastors to prepare for a 3-day ESI Facilitator Training that we might do in the month of April. Please pray with us for the Lord’s leading.

James Family January 2019 Prayer Requests

1. Please pray for ESI contact meetings in Spain and Portugal in January. We have meets set up with groups of pastors in 6 cities. Pray for wisdom as we meet with these men; and for the Lord’s guidance as we seek His will if we should start ESI in these 2 countries in 2019

2. Pray for Debbie’s women’s ministry at the ILC Church in La Paz that as we finish up our Home Assignment, the women will continue to grow in their love for the Lord and commitment to evangelism and discipleship.

3. Pray for the 2000 ESI participants meeting in 11 countries that pastors and church leaders will be passionate about Jesus and committed to honor Him by thinking and living and serving biblically.

• Praise for excellent Equipping Servants/ Disciples Making Disciples (ESI) pastors conferences to encourage pastors and church leaders in La Paz and Santa Cruz Bolivia, Montevideo, Uruguay; Temuco, Chile; Bogota, Colombia; and Loja, Ecuador.

• Pray for ESI groups meeting in Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, Sweden. Please pray that God will develop in each pastor and church/ministry leader involved in this 3-year mutual-discipleship process a passion to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures, thinking, living and serving Biblically. Pray that pastors will build a strong commitment of Biblical friendship and stop walking alone but rather together with other believers to experience gospel unity under the banner of the gospel. Pray that the church in each country will be strengthened and mobilized to disciple believers and reach the least reached with the gospel of Christ so that no one will live or die without hearing the Good News of Jesus.

James Family May 2018 Prayer & Praise

• Praise for the 2 Equipping Servants/ Disciples Making Disciples – Facilitator Training weeks last month -- in Concepcion, Chile we had 52 people, and in Sao Paolo, Brazil we had 35. Pray for the Lord’s guidance as they organize to start new groups in July. Also, please pray for God’s provision for Pastor Book Sets for each of the new participants as we start new ESI groups.

• Pray for ESI pastors Boris Arancibia, Edgar Mamani and Sebastian Moreno as they attend BASICS at Parkside in May – that this will be an encouraging time of growing in their partnership in the gospel with us.

Prayer Requested!

A quick request for your prayer this week! Debbie and I will travel tonight to Temuco, Chile to spend the week with our Equipping Servants (ESI) Chile team. 65 people are signed up -- 45 to be trained to lead new groups as ESI Facilitators-in-Training, and the other 20 will finish up their training process as ESI Facilitator/Leaders of existing groups. We value your prayer for gospel impact in each of our lives, and that all of us will grow in our commitment to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures in they way we think and live and serve!

This Update reports what we did last week expanding Equipping Servants into Argentina, training new ESI Facilitators. And our plans in April to start ESI in Brazil and new cities in Chile.
