James Family July 2014 Update

Thank you for praying for us and our ministry in Bolivia!

A quick update on Zack -- he needs to be on oxygen for at least the next week. We truly value your prayers that the Lord will develop his lungs so that he can breathe on his own.

Our Equipping Servants (ESI) pastoral training ministry continues to grow. We just held our semester graduations in Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Mexico with hundreds of participants in our 3 year process. ESI takes participants through an intensive two-year study through the book of Romans, as well as many other books like Howard Hendrick’s “Teaching to Change Lives” to equip pastors and Christian workers for more effective ministry and leadership.

One recent graduate pulled me aside after our graduation in La Paz and said, “Please tell the people who have provided the Pastor Book Sets how thankful I am for these pastoral resources. My life and ministry have been transformed through the study of God’s Word. So much of my Christian life and ministry was a pursuit in legalism. God used the study of Romans to help me understand God’s grace and what it means to base my salvation on the justification of Christ rather than my own works-righteousness. How freeing it is now to walk in His grace rather than the hypocritical legalism that characterized my life. The result of thinking Biblically is that God is helping me understand the importance of feeding people in my congregation on the food of God’s Word rather than my own opinions and experiences! For the first time in 10 years of ministry I am starting to see fruit as people come to faith and believers grow in Christ. Thank you”. Encouraging!

By the way, if you’d like to see our ESI Pastor Book Set video to understand it better (or partner with us to help provide the next 2500 sets we need to be able to expand into Paraguay in 2015 and other Latin American countries through 2018) please watch it at www.EquippingServants.com.

Thank you for walking with us serving the Lord in this ministry!
