James Family June 2014 Prayer & Praise
• Pray for Debbie and the team of committed women in the ILC church as they evangelize and disciple women in 2014.
• Pray for Sami and Heather as they develop a ministry of Biblical counseling in churches in La Paz.
• Pray for Katie, working as a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic and serving God in a multitude of relationships.
• Pray for Andrew serving with Samaritan’s Purse in Bolivia doing pastoral training in Aymara communities on the Altiplano. He is almost finished with his MA studies by extension at Trinity Seminary. Pray for Angie as she is busy with their 2 children, Nicole and Camille and one due June 4th!
• Praise for good ESI (Equipping Servants pastoral training) pastors conferences in Loja, Ecuador (107 participants) and Huánuco, Peru (75 participants) in April. Pray for our upcoming pastors conferences in Bolivia (La Paz and Santa Cruz) at the end of August with Jonathan Holmes.
• Pray for wisdom as Kep, Pepe and Edgar continue working with the 13 Pastoral Assistant (PA) volunteers. We continue seeing encouraging evidences of God’s grace in their lives as they study Romans for 16 hours each week and prepare expository sermons. Pray for wisdom as we work with each one helping them in their growth toward Christlikeness.
• Pray for the family of PA Arturo Fernandez who died in April of a heart attack.
• Pray for the 850 ESI (Equipping Servants pastoral training) participants throughout Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. Pray that many churches will be transformed as pastors and church leaders learn to honor Christ by being true to His Word.
• Pray that pastors in Latin America will spend quality time with their wives and children, and that God will transform marriages as pastors live in obedience to God’s Word.
• Pray that pastors and church leaders will build a strong community of Biblical friendship with people in their churches and with other pastors and church leaders in their cities, to build the unity of the Body of Christ in Latin America.
• Pray for God’s supply for the 2500 pastoral book sets needed between 2014 and 2018 as we press forward to begin the work of ESI in 5 new Latin American countries in the next 5 years -- Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Columbia and Argentina.
• Pray that ESI participants will grow in their love for Jesus, committed to live in Christ’s righteousness with a holy lifestyle.
• Pray for ESI participants and graduates that God will help them live in the fear of the Lord with a growing hunger for Christ and His Word.
• Pray for pastor Tomas Diaz as he works with 5 groups of ESI pastors in Loja, Ecuador. God is using the study of Romans to impact many lives and churches in southern Ecuador.
• Pray for pastor Edwin Callejas as he works with 3 groups of ESI pastors in Huánuco, Peru.
• Pray for pastor Javier Soliz that God will guide and give him wisdom as he trains pastors involved in 4 ESI groups in Santa Cruz and one in Cochabamba.
• Pray for pastor Freddy Choque developing ESI ministry in the city of El Alto.
