James Family September 2013 Prayer Requests
1. Pray for Debbie and me in our own lives that we will follow hard after Jesus -- seeking to be quick to see our own sin, repent, and grow in our dependence on the Lord – so that we will be the right kind of a humble and gentle example for pastors and church leaders, pointing them to Jesus in Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and Mexico.
2. We thank the Lord for a very good series of ESI (Equipping Servants pastoral training) conferences last month in Potosi (25 participants), La Paz (175 participants) and Santa Cruz (150 participants) in August. Pastor Jeff Mills’ messages in Hebrews on the topic of “Keeping Our Eyes on Jesus” were a great encouragement and challenge to many.
3. Pray for wisdom as we seek the Lord’s guidance about which ESI leaders to send to which places around Bolivia and Latin America in the next 24 months as we seek to strengthen the church in South America. We have limited resources, there are many needs, and we want to place the right people in the best places where God will use us to help the church learn to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures in order to rescue the lost.
