January and February have flown by so I believe we should bring you up to date before March does the same.
We were privileged to have Mike's Dad with us for two weeks in January. We enjoyed introducing him to Oaxaca.
We said Adios to Mike's Dad and turned around to welcome a Dental Team from Cleveland. As always, we appreciated their willingness to live simply in the mountains of Southern Oaxaca while serving people isolated from good dental services. This year they were joined by a number of people from our church here in Oaxaca.
February found Mike back in Nampa, Idaho for 3 weeks of training. He enjoyed being instructed as a change from being the one doing the instructing.
February also saw the airplane returning from the U.S. from its engine change. After a couple of weeks of jumping through paperwork hoops, it is up and flying again here in Oaxaca.
Looking ahead to March, Mike needs to complete check rides for the pilots here. We are planning a long weekend at the beach before the busyness of Easter hits. Mike is normally extra busy during this time as many people take vacations including the doctors in our isolated communities which means moving more patients out to Oaxaca for medical attention.
We pray that you are blessed in a special way during this Easter season as we remember Jesus' death and resurrection.
