Dear Friends,
Greetings once again from warm, sunny Oaxaca, Mexico.
Our year has started out busy, but good. Mike's Dad was able to spend the first two week of January with us here in our home. We very much enjoyed introducing him to our friends and taking him to someof our favorite places.
A week after Dad's return to the States we welcomed a dental team from Cleveland. The group of 6 people graciously gave of their time and resources to help the poorest of the poor in Amoltepec. This year they were joined by 5 members of our church here in Oaxaca. It was a delight to have both of our church homes working together for the advance of the Gospel.
The team traveled to Mamey where Pastor Pedro lives. Several of the team members had visited there a number of years ago and were thrilled to see the advances that have been made in the name of Jesus Christ. There had been significant church growth, people in the community came to know the Lord during this time. As always, we are extremely grateful for Christians who are willing to sacrifice to serve the communities of Amoltepec.
As I write, the airplane that has been in the U.S. for an engine change and major inspection is on its way home. It has been ready to return for several days but the weather was not good enough to fly cross-country. We all look forward to once again having two aircraft in Mexico to serve the people in isolated areas.
Mike is also traveling today. He is headed to MAF headquarters in Nampa, Idaho for safety training. He will be flying this week and attending seminars for the following two weeks.
