Rivera March 2011 Prayer Requests

Edgar writes that he has had to take Lety to the emergency room three times in the last month. Pray for healing and resolution for Lety's health related issues.

Edgar is grateful that he has been able to hand over responsibilities for the church plant to the new pastor and asks for wisdom in how to be an encouragement.

Rivera February 2011 Prayer Requests

Pray for wisdom for Edgar as he juggles responsibilities leading ESI groups, mentoring several pastors, and helping with administrative chores in our MAF office.

Rivera December 2010 Prayer Update

1) Pray that Edgar would have wisdom in encouraging Habakkuk the new pastor of their church plant.

2) Pray that Edgar will be able to start making regular visits to Amoltepec again.

Rivera November 2010 Prayer Update

Edgar and Lety are thankful that their church plant has taken the step of calling a full time pastor.

Pray that God will continue to open the door for the ESI group to meet in the Ixcotel prison.

Rivera October 2010 Prayer Update

Pray for Edgar, Lety and their children as they make the adjustments to living on their own as a family again after several years in the Children's Home together.

Pray for Edgar as he learns to encourage the new pastor of their church.

Rivera September 2010 Update

Praise that adoption process is complete and that Yanina Ester (Tete) is now a member of Edgar and Lety's family.

Praise for the provision of a new home and that their move is finished.

Pray for all three of their children as they start new schools this Fall.

Rivera Special Prayer Update

A quick note to thank you for all your prayers over the almost three year adoption process. As of last Friday afternoon Yanina Ester (Tete) is legally a member of Edgar and Lety's family. They were issued an actual birth certificate with their names on is as mother and father as if she had been born naturally into their family. Must be a good sermon illustration in this somewhere.

Rivera August 2010 Update

Praise that little Ester's adoption is complete except for the formality of one final appearance before the judge.

Pray that Edgar can finish moving his family into their new home while Ana and Juan are on summer vacation.

Pray that the doors would remain open for the ESI group to continue to train Christian leaders in the Ixcotel prison.

Rivera July 2010 Update

Praise for a good school year finish for Ana and Juan. Praise that Ana was accepted at a good High School near their new home. Pray that God would move the hand of the judge to sign the final paperwork for Ester's adoption. Pray that Edgar would have opportunities to minister to the pastors in Amoltepec.
