Would you please pray for Debbie and me as we travel next Thursday to Temuco, Chile to train 40 new ESI Facilitators during the last week of June? We hope to start 20 new groups with 300 participants in August.

James Family June 2017 Update
Greetings from La Paz!
We'd like to ask you to pray for our Equipping Servants (ESI) Facilitator Training events coming up. Tomorrow we meet with 10 pastors from Santa Cruz. Later in June we plan to train a large number of pastors and church leaders in Temuco, Chile.
Please take a few minutes to read the encouraging testimony of one of our ESI leaders in Bolivia (pastor Edgar), and what God did in his life:
“Twenty some years ago at the age of 23, the goal of my life was to become the youngest president of my nation-wide denomination. I was already leader of our regional chapter, and was sought-out as an entertaining and popular motivational speaker in churches across Bolivia. I didn’t pay much attention to the Bible, or about advancing the cause of Christ, because my life was completely about advancing my own kingdom and the influence of my name.

James Family May 2017 Prayer Requests
1. Pray for one of our ESI pastors in Oruro, Juan Carlos, who is leading an ESI group of 15 people there. He asks for prayer as he consider starting a church plant in that very spiritually needy and idolatrous city.
2. Pray for our ESI team in Santa Cruz. They are considering starting 10 ESI in 10 strategic towns outside of Santa Cruz in the next few months. There is a great hunger in this region to study God’s Word.
3. Pray for the 10 new groups (150 participants) starting ESI in Bogota, Columbia and the 20 groups (300 participants) starting in Temuco, Chile in July -- and all that this means for May and June, needing to train new facilitators and purchase ESI Pastor Book Sets.

Download the March 2017 ESI Newsletter with lots of photos here.
We thank God for your partnership in the gospel with ESI. ESI’s commitment is to honor Christ by strengthening the local church throughout Latin America so that it will be true to the Scriptures. We do this by discipling pastors and church leaders to grow in the grace of the Lord Jesus in their walk with God, to be faithful to His charge of discipling believers and mobilizing the church to take the gospel where it is least known.

Greetings from Bolivia!
We trust you are well. Our March 2017 Update addresses one of the serious challenges we face as Equipping Servants continues to expand around Latin America, attempting to include the broadest cross-section of Christian denominations possible -- what is the basis of Christian unity?
We value your prayers for gospel unity and for our lives and ministry to honor Christ.
Thankful to God for your partnership in the gospel with us,
Kep and Debbie

• Pray for the 850 active Equipping Servants Internship (ESI) participants in Bolivia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Colombia and Uruguay. Pray for the 1625 total graduates since 2002. Pray that each pastor and church/ministry leader will grow in their desire to honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures, thinking and living and serving Biblically, to strengthen the church around Latin America and to reach the lost with the gospel of Christ.
• Pray for the three ESI groups with 45 participants that recently started in Montevideo. Pray for the 3 new ESI groups that started in Bogota, as well as 3 new groups in Cajamarca, Peru. Pray for the 40 prospective ESI leaders in Temuco, Chile who expressed interest in starting ESI groups in July, and for Kep and his ESI Expansion team as they train these church leaders in a 4-day ESI Facilitator Training Course in June. Pray that we will be able to effectively help church leaders around Latin America study, teach and preach God’s Word to disciple believers and mobilize the church to reach the least-reached -- so that no one will live or die without hearing the Good News of Jesus.
