Kep & Debbie July 2025 Update
We are thankful to God for your partnership in the gospel with us as we seek to help pastors honor Christ by being true to His Scriptures. Here are specific ways you can pray for the 3,000 pastors and church leaders studying Romans with us in 37 countries.
* Praise for the encouraging visit that Debbie and I made to pastors in Costa Rica a few weeks ago. We were there with Paulo and Jose -- and met several groups of pastors and pastoral associations. Many recognize the damage they have caused shifting away from the Bible over the past 40 years and promoting Prosperity Heresy in their churches. Many expressed a desire to join ESI and to start studying Romans with us. Please pray for the ESI training we are planning in San Jose in February 2026.
* Pray for Debbie, me and Rusty Johnson July 4-10 in Amsterdam meeting with Dutch pastors and church leaders, that God would awaken in their hearts a desire to study the Bible in ESI groups.
* Pray for Paulo as he follows up with pastors he trained in Islamabad, Pakistan who have expressed a desire to study the Bible in ESI groups.
* Praise for the two additional ESI groups that have started in Italy. We continue to hear encouraging reports how God is helping them grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus as they study through Romans.
* Pray for Boris and Marco overseeing 3 ESI groups in Spanish in Virginia and Florida.
* Pray for Jose leading an ESI group of Spanish speaking pastors in Los Angeles; also as he oversees ESI groups in Central America. Pray that each participant will grow in their understanding of the gospel and love for Jesus, that they will live true to the gospel, and that they will teach and preach God’s Word faithfully in their local churches.
* Pray for the 4 ESI groups meeting weekly in London and 5 groups in Paris.
* Pray that as pastors study the Bible, they will experience deep gospel transformation in their lives, marriages, ministries and local churches.
* Pray for ESI groups that Pastor Edgar Mamani leads in the Tipnis area of the Bolivian jungle helping pastors study the Bible in communities that are resistant to the gospel.
* Pray for the work of translation into many different African languages so that our ESI Bible study and training material may be used in different communities.
