Collins December 2013 Prayer Requests

Friends,

Greetings from Oaxaca. I very much enjoyed dinner just this past Wednesday with Kep, Mike Ross and Edgar. You'd be surprised at the appetizers: Deep friend grubs, ant eggs and larvae. You know what they say. It tastes like chicken.

That's not part of the prayer requests, although we always appreciate prayer for good health.

I am very grateful for the technical support available as a linguist and translator. A dramatized version of the Mam New Testament is available on line. Go to <http://www.bible.is/MVCNVS/Matt/1> to hear what it sounds like. Also, for most of November Wes was in Oaxaca, Mexico at a computer linguistics workshop trying to learn some new tricks--grammar analysis and dictionary making with computers. Pray that he'll keep and use what he's learned.

Pray for Byron Feliciano. He is a young Mam man who loves the Lord and the Scriptures. He supervises literacy programs in churches throughout the Comitancillo are where the Collinses used to live, while also pastoring a a small church and hosting a twice-weekly Mam-language radio program that reaches a potential audience of over 100,000 people. Pray for continued health, vision and enthusiasm.

Thanks for your prayers and concern for us. Enjoy the late autumn and early snow. It's 82 degrees here today. :--)
