Thanksgiving Box Project
Serving others is an important part of Christian life, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start. With so many different ways to serve, our annual Thanksgiving Box Project, in collaboration with Scranton Road Bible Church, is a simple and meaningful service opportunity that connects you to others at Parkside as well as to our friends and neighbors in the near westside of Cleveland.
“When we serve together, life happens,” says Joe Abraham, senior pastor at Scranton Road Bible Church. “We are diverse in so many different ways, but when we worship together, we come together.”

There are several ways you and your family can participate in this fun and meaningful project that not only bestows kindness and love to our neighbors, but also brings together our church family through this service opportunity. Join us this November as we partner with Scranton Road Bible Church to help make the holiday season brighter for families in Cleveland. Approximately 400 boxes will be needed.

Solon Home Days Thank You!
THANK YOU so much to those who helped make our booth at the 2018 Solon Home Days festival a success! God provided sunny weather, lots of Plinko was played and candy and balloons given away. Almost 500 Community Day invitation cards were distributed and more than 100 One Year New Testaments were picked up from our table!
Our booth at Solon Home Days is one of just a couple of times each year that we as a church do an outreach in the community rather than asking the community to come to us. Thank you for being a friendly representative of Parkside to those you met during your shift at the booth. Please pray that those who picked up Bibles will read them and that many people who were invited to Community Day will come.
Our staff photographer, Julie Hahn, was out taking pictures during the festival. You can see her photos on our website here.

The books are used in two ways: 1) They are given to children in tutoring programs at the beginning of the school year to take home and keep; and, 2) BHITC offers "Little Free Library Carts" at our tutoring locations where students can borrow books to read during tutoring and also to take home and return.
