Harvest Fest 2016

On October 29th, get ready to celebrate the Autumnal season at :transit: Harvest Fest 2016 with all of your favorite :transiteers:

Expect: an epic bake-off contest

Are you a brownie virtuoso? A king or queen of cookies? A cinnamon bun czar? Make and bring a batch of your favorite seasonal treats to Harvest Fest to share! Prizes will be awarded for the best bake-off item as voted on by the group in attendance.

Expect: an inspiring costume contest

While dressing up in costume is not a requirement of attending :transit: Harvest Fest 2016... wouldn't it be be more fun if you did? At this year's event, prizes will be awarded for the best guy costume, best girl costume, and best team/group costume, as voted on by the group in attendance.

Expect: amazingness

There'll be friends, fun, a bonfire and more!

Game Night @ Transit

On the evening of September 21, instead of our usual :transit: proceedings, we will be hosting an informal evening of food, games, and socializing at our regular hangout, the Loft. Drop by to join in on the fun with friends old and new, starting at 7:30.

what will be there:

You are more than welcome to show up hungry, because Game Night will be featuring pizza, free of charge.

We will also have a thoughtfully curated collection of our favorite party games available for you to play.

Additionally, the gym / Warehouse will be open, and if it's nice out, there will be the option of playing outside!

what you can bring:

To add to the fun, you are personally invited to bring:
1) Your own favorite party games, and / or...
2) Soda, chips, a dessert, or a healthy-ish snack to share.

What? An outdoor excursion including camping, hiking, and hanging out

When? Saturday August 27 - Sunday August 28, departure times TBD

Where? Tappan Lake, Deersville, OH

How (much)? $30. Cost includes overnight accommodations, Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast. Gas money for drivers is not included and will be split individually among cars.

Volunteer to Help Watch Kids

Location: Parckside Church

Looking for a fun, one-off service project? You can volunteer to watch little kids at Parkside Church, while their parents are attending Parkside's "Marriage Matters" conference.

What kinds of kids, you ask? There'll be Nursery (Birth-2 yrs. old), Preschool (3-5 yrs. old), and Elementary (1st grade and older).

Summer 2016 Mexico Missions Trip Info Meeting

We are planning a missions trip to Mexico in June 2016, open to college students and young professionals, that will consist of construction work and running a VBS for children.

An informational meeting will be held January 10 at 11:15 am in Room A226 for anyone interested in finding out more about it.
