Volunteers Needed: Cleveland Clinic Hospice at Home

Help a Neighbor in Need! Cleveland Clinic Hospice at Home is seeking volunteers to provide companionship and socialization to patients. Spend some time chit chatting or playing games with neighbors in need as a hospice volunteer! We serve patients in their homes, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living complexes. Our volunteer opportunities are designed around the volunteer to fully utilize their skills and abilities so they have the most rewarding volunteer experience possible.

Each year we partner with Scranton Road Bible Church in Cleveland to collect and distribute Thanksgiving boxes to families in need.

Prison Ministry Christmas Bag Outreach
“The Way Out” Prison Ministry is collecting items for their annual Christmas Bag Outreach project. They are hoping to assemble over 1000 bags for inmates in Cuyahoga, Geauga and Summit counties.

Walk for Life 2012

Alternaterm Pregnancy Services is holding their annual Walk for Life fundraising event on Saturday, October 6, at the Cleveland Clinic Lyndhurst Campus (1950 Richmond Rd.). Registration is at 9:30am.
Go to www.Alternaterm.org and click Walk for Life 2012 for more information or to sign up. There you can also create your own web-page and invite sponsors to support you and your team.
Over 6,000 babies are aborted each year in Cuyahoga County. By collecting pledges as a walker, you can make a difference, one life at a time.

Solon Home Days Thank You!

Thanks to all who volunteered to help at the Parkside Church booth at the Solon Home Days Festival on July 26-29. It started out a little soggy on Thursday and Friday evenings but perseverance was rewarded with sunshine and large crowds on Saturday and Sunday. Almost all the literature much of the candy were distributed throughout the weekend, along with many balloons and smiles.

We here at Chagrin Falls Park Community Center are desperately in need of volunteers to staff our front desk and answer phones. We need someone on Wednesday and/or Friday mornings. If you can help, please contact me.

Volunteers Needed for Solon Home Days Festival
Parkside will have a booth at the Solon Home Days festival on July 26-29. Volunteers are needed to set-up, tear-down, greet people and hand out balloons and candy to children. The festival theme this year is Mardi Gras.
If you can volunteer for a 2-3 hour time slot, please sign-up at the table outside Fellowship Hall or ONLINE HERE.
