Community Involvement: Taking the Hope of Christ into the Community

Parkside’s Community Involvement ministry is our effort to mobilize the people of Parkside Church to go outside the walls of our church building and serve our surrounding community in a Christ-like manner. By hosting and participating in community-focused events, we hope to provide our church members and attenders with opportunities to engage with our neighbors for the sake of the gospel.

Youth For Christ Juvenile Justice Ministries

Purpose: The objective of this ministry is to reach youth in crisis within the Cleveland Juvenile Justice System and after their release. It is also our desire to work with the schools to incorporate preventative measures in the lives of youth to help them make positive life choices.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore Volunteers Needed

Volunteering at the ReStore is a great way to give back to the community and meet other friendly people - by volunteering you can be a part of this great mission of providing an opportunity for families in Geauga County to own a home.

We have a need for volunteers in the ReStore. These positions include Truck Helper and Warehouse Helper.

Volunteers Needed for Blossom Time Festival Booth

Parkside will have a booth at the Chagrin Falls Blossom Time festival over Memorial Weekend on May23-26. Volunteers are needed to help at the booth throughout the weekend greeting, distributing literature, and handing out balloons and candy to children. Set-up and tear-down volunteers are also needed.

Volunteers Needed for Geauga Clean-Up Days!

The Department of Aging needs your help!!! We would like to invite you and your friends to join us and volunteer during the Geauga Spring Clean-Up Days!! The kick off for this worthwhile event will take place April 6th, 2013.

Volunteer Receptionists Needed at Chagrin Falls Park Community Center

Volunteer receptionists are needed at the Chagrin Falls Park Community Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-6 pm. Duties include welcoming and greeting clients, answering phones and organizing program materials.

Dear Parkside Families:

Thank you for your prayers and financial contributions toward Christmas gifts for children from Scranton Road Bible Church. The children who attend SRBC’s Good News Kids Club received gifts that were fun, creative, and met practical needs.

Volunteers Needed for ReStore

Volunteering at the ReStore is a great way to give back to the community and meet other friendly people - by volunteering you can be a part of this great mission of providing an opportunity for families in Geauga County to own a home.

We have a need for Saturday workers in the ReStore. These positions include Pricer and Register Assistant. Pricers will be responsible for preparing items for the sales floor. This includes cleaning, sorting and pricing. Register Assistants will help wrap and bag items for customer and assist cashier with the check out process.

Volunteers Needed for Tax Preparation

United Way Services of Geauga County is looking for volunteers to provide free tax preparation for low-income Geauga county residents from February to April.
