Solon Home Days "Thank You"
A special “thank you” to the 36 people who served at the Solon Home Days festival booth last weekend.
Community festivals give us the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with many people who wouldn’t normally attend church. We pray that God will use some of the invitations and literature given away to bring people to Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to be a part of this outreach.

Volunteers Needed for Hospice of the Western Reserve
Touch a life...Become a Hospice Volunteer.
Hospice is a philosphy of care, not a place. Hospice cares for patients wherever they call home. As a vital part of their team, volunteers come from all walks of life and have a variety of skills, talents and abilites.
Opportunities to serve are diverse: visit patients and families to provide companionship, socialization, and comfort, help with legacy work, transportation, light housework, meal preparation, run errands, make phone calls, help with clerical work, attend health fairs, make a presentation.Volunteers with specialized professional qualifications and training are also needed: attorneys, licensed hair dressers, massotherapists, pet therapy dogs, and their handlers.

Alternaterm "Everyday Heroes" Walk/Run Update
THANK YOU!
We are so happy to let you know that our 2016 Everyday Hero Fun Walk/Run was quite successful. Despite the chilly, wet day we had a great turn-out of heroes who raised just over $19,000 dollars. This is a great beginning for what is sure to become the largest life walk event here in Northeast Ohio. Heroes are already talking about next year. Please plan to join them!!
YOU CAN STILL BE A HERO!
As you can see we did not meet our goal of raising $30,000. We have a generous donor who has agreed to encourage giving toward that goal by providing a match of funds raised between now and June 19th.

Become a Hospice Volunteer with Heartland Hospice
At Heartland, we consider our involvement with each patient a sacred opportunity and a privilege to be in their lives. We depend on our hospice volunteers to help us provide the love, respect and care our patient and their families need.
As a Heartland Hospice Volunteer, you can donate as much or as little time as you desire. The duties of our volunteers are varied. This flexibility allows you to find an area or service that is uniquely suited to you and provide you with the greatest personal satisfaction.
As a Hospice volunteer, you will be oriented to the hospice program so you understand our caring philosophy and goals. This will enable you to have the skills needed to assist patients and their families. You will partner with the Volunteer Coordinator to determine the best role to fill.

Christmas Care Packages
Parkside Church is creating Christmas Care Packages for families in need around our area and in partnership with Scranton Road Bible Church. These packages will include basic necessities as well as small gifts. Our goal is to offer families hope during the holiday season: the hope that comes from generosity, and the hope that comes from Jesus.
You can participate by placing a check in the offering with "Christmas Care Packages" in the memo line. Donations will be accepted now through December 31.
