Supported Worker: Andrew & Angie James
Country: Uruguay
Details: On December 7, the people in the ESI group started 3 years ago will be graduating. Praise the Lord for this milestone and pray students will continue to grow in their love for the Lord and to serve Him faithfully, applying everything God has taught them in this three-year process. Also, this month Andrew and Angie will be moving closer to the city to be nearer their ministry. Pray for this transition and for everything it entails and for Angie’s health (acid reflux) which has improved some but not entirely. Tokelau (Cook Islands) (Pacific). The strong Christian legacy of over 150 years – bordering on theocracy on some islands – is fading rapidly. Increasing numbers are nominal or even non-religious, and Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses are the fastest growing groups. Pray for reversal of these trends and for new life to come to the mainline Churches. Costa Rica (Latin America). Pray as most Costa Rican churches are good at reaching out and winning “converts,” but fail to raise them in godly lifestyles and biblical knowledge. Pray for the pastors who are under-resourced, surviving on low incomes and without strong teams to help them in their work. From Operation World DVD-ROM 2010, www.operationworld.org
