Serving on Saturday
Location: Meet at Parkside Church
Start Time: Sat 25, April 2015, 1 p.m.
End Time: Sat 25, April 2015, 5 p.m.
Middle school students, join us on Saturday April 25th for Serve on Saturday where we will help clean up some elderly couples' yards for a few hours. Meet at the ground level Children's Wing at 10am where we'll gather into groups and head out to the homes. We will get lunch together after our work is done and return to Parkside Church by 2:00pm. Specific arrival time will be texted out. Please let your small group leader know if you plan to attend.
By helping in this way on Serving on Saturday, we as a middle school ministry will have the opportunity to give to these people something they can’t give to themselves, to love them (thus following Jesus’ commandments for us), and also to allow our students to see what it looks like to serve in a very ordinary way (there is nothing extraordinary about yard work).
