Location: Barrio (806 Literary Rd., Cleveland)
Start Time: Fri 20, March 2015, 10 p.m.
End Time: Sat 21, March 2015, 1 a.m.

Gentlemen:

Back in January, a number of you attended Dudes and Foods Part I at Happy Dog, and will remember your enjoyment at dining on the American hotdog in all new and experimental ways.

If a restaurant like that, with 2 things on the entire menu (hotdogs and tater tots) can enjoy runaway success with plans for expansion, maybe there's also something we can learn...

Sometimes in life, we start to think that if we're ever going to make it, it's important that we get absolutely everything perfect, so we invest much worry and effort into ensuring that everything is just so.

In reality, if Happy Dog is any indication, maybe all you really have to do is focus on getting one thing really right, or doing one or two things very well, and great rewards will come.

Isn't that reassuring?

Like Happy Dog, Barrio subscribes to an iTunes-esque philosophy of menu planning:

If you can come up with one big hit, do you always have to pack it out with an entire album of additional filler that nobody is that interested in? Why not just sell the people exactly what they want?

Located in Cleveland's scenic, historic Tremont neighborhood, Barrio's kitchen serves tacos.

And that's pretty much it.

But they're also quite good at it, and the way they've worked it out, the experience never gets old.

Barrio you see, also like Happy Dog, uses a sort of scantron ordering system of many choices, and the dining experience is seemingly designed to achieve that magical restaurant trifecta of being "enjoyable," "filling," and yet "affordable" all at once.

By mixing and matching from a checklist of 6 shell/tortilla options, 9 types of meats/proteins, 4 kinds of cheeses, 6 kinds of vegetable toppings, 4 kinds of salsas and 7 kinds of sauces, ranging in intensity from sweet and mild to "Inferno," every taco you eat is a unique edible adventure, custom designed by you.

As ever, if you are a dude, and enjoy eating legendary foods, and would enjoy doing so in the company of your fellow :transit: dudes, then we absolutely have an event for you.

See you there, for Chapter 3 in the continuing saga of "Dudes and Foods." Friday, Mar 20th, at 7pm, the dining destination will be Barrio (806 Literary Rd., Cleveland).

To get involved, use the sign-up sheet at the :transit: info tables, or RSVP using the Dudes and Foods Facebook event, or email Andy Blank: andrewjamesblank@gmail.com.
