    Samuel Adams Returns (again)!

    Come and hear how our great nation was founded directly from one who was involved, American Revolutionary and Founding Father, Samuel Adams. Mr. Adams will mingle amongst us as we enjoy dinner and then will give a presentation following the meal.

    The event will be held Friday, November 11 in The Commons at 6:30 pm.

    Cost is $10.00, which includes a catered dinner and the presentation.

    Let's Talk Technology Workshop & Dinner

    Location: The Lower Level Commons at Parkside Church

    Are the latest apps and smart devices confusing? Would you like to learn how to use them more effectively?

    You are invited for a unique opportunity to learn more about the technology that interests you on August 26 at 6:30 pm in the Lower Level Commons. Digital photography, smartphone apps, video chatting and social media are just some of the topics you will have the chance to explore through hands-on learning stations. Several technical experts will be there to show you what to do and how to do it. An informal dinner will also be served.

    Join us for a fun and relaxed time of learning new skills, or ask questions and become more familiar with an app or software that you already use! Please bring your portable devices with you when you come.

    If you have a certain topic you would like us to cover, please let us know!

    Cost is $10.

    All those age 50+ are invited for dinner and a movie on Friday, June 24 at 6:30 pm in The Venue.

    Cost is $10 per person.

    Attention one and all! Because we have still have space available in The Duck Club, we are now opening this event to families of Sojourners as well!

    Invite your children or grandchildren to join us for the ballgame on May 27th.

    Registration deadline is this Friday, May 20.

    Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

    Location: Canal Park, 300 South Main Street Akron, OH 44308

    The boys of summer are back! All those age 50+ and their families are invited to an evening at Canal Park in Akron to cheer on the Akron Rubber Ducks baseball team on Friday, May 27 as they take on the Harrisburg Senators. Game time is at 6:35 pm. Fireworks will be presented following the game.

    We have reserved The Duck Club suite for this event. The Duck Club features a chef-driven catering menu, state-of-the-art AV and unprecedented views of Canal Park. Seating for the game is located in the club area and includes both indoor and outdoor patio choices. Cost is $33.00 per person. Event will take place rain or shine. Pre-registration is required.

    See the land of Israel without leaving Ohio at our first Sojourners’ dinner of the year!

    Join us in making the Bible come to life by experiencing the land of Israel with Dyan Kennedy, who was part of the recent Holy Land tour led by Alistair Begg. This inspiring journey will take us from the heights of Galilee, to the River Jordan, Armageddon, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Masada, the Ein Gedi Oasis, the Dead Sea, and modern Tel Aviv on the beautiful Mediterranean coast.

    This incredible land is what God calls "My Land"!

    Cost is $10 per person.

    Sojourners/GEO Kidz Pancake Breakfast

    Anyone age 50+ is invited to a free pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 5 provided by the kids and parents involved in our GEO Kidz ministry. The breakfast will take place at 9am in The Venue.

    Sojourners Christmas Celebration 2015 Update

    We have had a great response to the Sojourners Christmas Celebration again this year and registration for the dinner is now closed; however, we do not want anyone to miss out on the lovely program that Bonnie Cook and friends have planned. We have decided to move the Christmas Carol Sing into the Commons and open it up to anyone who would like to attend at no cost.

    The Sojourners dinner will begin at 6:30 pm in The Venue as originally planned. Only those who are already registered may attend this part of the evening.

    The Christmas Carol Sing will begin at 8:30 pm in The Commons. If you have any family or friends who would like to attend, the program is open to people of all ages. No cost or ticket needed.

    We look forward to seeing you Friday and helping you begin your celebration of Christmas!
