  • Make a Difference at Hospice of Cleveland Clinic

Are you looking for a profound and deeply rewarding volunteer experience? Make a difference at the most intimate time of a person's life--the end. Our hope at Cleveland Clinic Hospice at Home is that no one dies alone.

Our goal is to train ordinary people with a heart for service and compassion for others to give an extraordinary gift to those facing end of life. This may be simply being present with the patient who is dying without a care giver, friend, or family member or providing support to family members who need a break from the bedside of their loved one. In the silence, you may choose to pray, write, read, play a musical instrument, or do any number of respectful activities. You will be a part of an amazing group of volunteers who complete trainings that will prepare you for this life changing experience.

Many of our seniors can no longer rake their yards, weed flower beds, clean up yard debris, or wash windows. This is where you, as a volunteer, can truly make a difference. Volunteers Needed for Laura's Home Holiday Fair

Location: Laura's Home Women's Crisis Center
    Start Time: Sat 7, Dec. 2013, 2 p.m.
    End Time: Sat 7, Dec. 2013, 5 p.m.

As a member of the Body of Christ here in Cleveland, The City Mission has always had one central goal in mind- to reach hearts and change lives. The City Mission has been doing just that with the help of our volunteers, many of which are members of your church. Without them, we could not support the men, women, and children who walk through our doors every day.

With the Holiday Season just around the corner, we realize many people are looking to volunteer in a special way during this time of year. We have a wonderful opportunity to serve the women and children of Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center through our Holiday Fair, happening December 7 from 12-3pm. This is a great opportunity for both individuals and groups looking for a holiday service opportunity, as well as experiencing what The City Mission is all about.

Below is a description of the different opportunities for the Holiday Fair, as well as contact information for anyone who is interested:
