The Parkside Insider: April 1, 2021

Parkside’s support groups are designed to provide a place to process difficult situations with a community of people and offer sound biblical teaching as you face these challenges.

“Community is especially essential when you are going through hard times. Our groups help people find a safe place with people of shared experiences,” Pastor Nick Spurgeon explained. “Ultimately, we hope that through teaching and discussion, people will be reminded of their identity in Christ, and begin to ask, How do I live and grow in this situation as an image bearer of Christ?”

Our support groups are open to anyone in the church or the community. Two groups will begin new sessions in April:

Single Moms
Begins April 8  |  6:30pm  |  Online
All single moms are invited to join our online spring care group. The group will meet for four Thursdays and will study the book, In His Image, by Jen Wilkin. Register >

Grieving with Hope
Begins April 22  |  7pm  |  Online
If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, we invite you to join us for a ten-week care group. Register >

Jesus’ humble yet triumphant entry into Jerusalem fulfilled Old Testament prophecy and openly declared His messiahship. Examining the various reactions to the Lord’s arrival, Alistair Begg challenges us to consider our personal response to Christ. Is He a prophet who reinforces our hopes or the King who rules in our hearts? In today’s morally, socially, and politically conflicted world, genuine peace, freedom, and fulfillment can only be found when we submit to Jesus, the one true King.

Calling all actors to join our Olympion 2021 skit team! We are looking for 5 actors, adults or high school students. Actors must be able to commit to a rigorous rehearsal schedule and registration for the audition is required.
