Details: Ambassadors Football is planning an event in Rwanda where they have been running a program in partnership with the Pentecostal Church of Rwanda. This program with primary school children from 25 schools across the country combines soccer with the memorization of the Word of God so that the children will develop a biblical worldview. The leaders of the program believe that the soccer that draws the children will not last, but the Scripture they memorize will not return without accomplishing all that God wills. On Nov. 20, the final championship games will be on national TV. The children will not only play soccer for everyone to see, but they will also share their favorite Bible verses as a testimony to the nation. Pray for this event taking place in a country where in 1994, 800,000 people were killed in a 100-day period. Shaanxi Province (province of China) (Asia). Shaanxi is the birthplace of Christianity in China, but terrible persecution wiped out this witness. Pray that the 21st century may be one of triumph for the Church. Poverty, due to the triumph of Communism in the area, is widespread. Pray, also, for effective student ministry and for effective programs that help students who come to Christ integrate into churches upon graduation.
