Details: Praise the Lord for the wonderful opportunities they have had to show the love of Christ and share the gospel this summer. Their baking camp provided an opportunity to bring families together to fellowship and hear the Word. Ambassadors Soccer Camp allowed them to reach out to the Painesville community. Pray that their upcoming basketball camp for children will connect them to the church as a whole. Pray for volunteers to serve in their children's ministry. Youth for Christ is thankful for successful special events at both the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center and the State facility in Massillon. Young men were treated to special food and activities to build relationships. The jail team saw many hungry for God’s Word. During the school year, 177 first-time decisions for Christ occurred, and cases of Bibles were handed out. Pray for follow-up with these young men and for continued open doors. Solomon Islands (Pacific). Population: 661,675 Believers: 33.3%. Ethnic diversity and fragmentation as well as geography render the Solomons a patchwork of tribes and political groups rather than a unified nation. This hinders not just national identity but also Christian ministry. Pray that God might knit these many islands and tribes together in the gospel. St Barthélemy (Caribbean). Population: 9,300 Believers: 2.3%. This island caters to the uber-rich, trading on its sophistication and isolation for its exclusivity. There is little interest in spiritual things. Pray that amid the boutiques, cafés, and villas there might awaken a hunger for spiritual reality and the opportunity to know God.
