  • Book Recommendation: What is a Healthy Church Member?

Jenny surprised me when she started crying during our membership interview. The first twenty minutes of the interview were fairly routine. She recounted her childhood growing up in a Christian home, her high school years filled with fear, and a period of living as a prodigal during college. Then she recalled with some joy her conversion experience in a hometown local church.

  • Building into the Next Generation: Parking Lot & Site Work Update

    The Steps

    Starting in July
The Elders have decided to proceed with the expansion of the parking lot and the addition of a parking lot exit to the traffic light at Pettibone Road. We believe that this will help alleviate some parking congestion as well as assist the entry and departures from the lot with a signalized intersection. As a part of the lot expansion some of the underground storm drains and utilities will be relocated as well in part to provide for the drainage capacity in case we decide to expand our building facilities.

  • A Note from the Leadership Team about this Sunday

When we initially introduced the vision for Parkside’s future back in January we thought it best to set aside three 60-day periods to specifically focus on this vision as a church family. The first 60 days we devoted ourselves to prayer for God’s wisdom and leading. Followed by 60 days to individually pray and consider how we all may prayerfully and financially support the vision. Currently, we are taking 60 days to thank God for all He has done and will do through Parkside Church. We are thankful for how He has been merciful and gracious to us over the many years but especially in these last six months.

  • 60 Days of Pledging: Update

    Partial Involvement

May 8 marks the transition between our 60 Days of Pledging and the 60 Days of Thanking. To date, we have received $6.3 million in Faith Promises from 448 households representing 42% of our $15 million goal from 22% of our estimated 2000 individuals and families.

    Full Participation

Our leadership team is asking every member and regular attender who has not yet submitted a Faith Promise to pick up a card, from one of the info racks, and place it in the offering plate. Even if you are unable to participate financially at this time please be involved in this way so that we may better informed in our decision making.

    Everyone Praying

We encourage each of you to continue to pray for God’s guidance and to give thanks for those who have filled out a Faith Promise card. If you have specific questions or feedback regarding any aspect of Building into the Next Generation, you can either submit them online at parksidechurch.com/vision or call the church at 440.543.1212.
