  • December Book Recommendations

During this hectic holiday season, we would like to recommend three books to help you pause, reflect, and focus on the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

  • Nursery Workers Needed for 2020

We are currently staffing our 2020 nursery teams who begin serving in January. If you are not serving anywhere at Parkside Church, the nursery ministry is a great “entry place” of service—no advance preparation is required when you serve other than a prayerful and willing heart. If you are a parent who utilizes the nursery, you are asked to serve on a team. Nursery teams serve approximately once every five weeks from January-December. Morning workers serve at two services, usually the 9:45am & 11:15am services, when most young families attend.

  • Pastoral Residents Class of 2019-2020

Parkside Church’s Pastoral Resident Class of 2019-2020

“They keep asking me about games to play,” said Hunter. “What else is there other than Dodge Ball?” Robby and Kolby laughed knowing that they all have to take a turn with one of the most challenging demographics in all of church life - Middle Schoolers.

For Parkside’s pastoral residents, Hunter Hanson, Robby Lacey, and Kolby Thomas, no detail is too small to consider when discerning the call to pastoral ministry.

All kidding aside, these three men have embarked on a year-long exploration to learn the day-to-day complexities of life as a pastor. Each resident will spend time shadowing members of Parkside’s pastoral team and will get hands-on experience such as teaching large groups, observing one-on-one counseling sessions, assisting with hospital and benevolence visits, and attending youth events and retreats. Throughout the year, they will get an up close and personal look at church life from the point of view of the pastor.

  • Special Needs Volunteers Needed

Will you consider joining our Special Needs Ministry this year?
We are praying that God would provide 10 volunteers for our most immediate need in Faithful Friends, Jr. Experience working in special needs is not required, although it is a plus. On-the-job-training is provided. If you are interested in serving, in learning more, or have questions, please contact Julie.
