Our Play Groups ministry meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month (subject to change during holidays), and we are looking to build a team of "Host Moms" who would be willing to serve once a month as "helpers" to the young moms who come to Play Groups.

What is Play Groups all about?  Play Groups ministry is a great way to let young children (birth-5 years of age) blow off some steam in a fun, safe, and positive environment while learning valuable social skills like sharing, kindness, cleaning up, etc.  Moms and caregivers enjoy the benefit of fellowship with other adults while children p!ay.

What would "Host Moms do?   Host moms would be available simply to encourage young moms who attend. This might be assisting a mom who brings children of multiple ages by holding an infant or helping play a game with one child so the mom can give one-on-one attention to another child.  A Host Mom might lead a game (like ball toss or parachute) with a small group of preschoolers. Older moms offer the benefit of "having been there" and have a tremendous opportunity to show the love of Christ by simply helping and encouraging young moms as they attend Play Groups.
