A Work of Grace
When a rich young man asked Jesus what he must do to be saved, Jesus showed him the problem of his heart. Throughout their conversation, Jesus teaches that all our hearts are prone to treasure things above Christ, and we are dependent upon God’s grace in our lives to show us our need of Him. Though the man went away disappointed, Jesus teaches that to those who choose to follow Christ, God is not stingy, and His gifts are far more valuable than anything money can buy.
