The Mindset of Sanctification
The believer’s battle for holiness is ultimately won or lost in the mind. Because sin corrupts every part of our lives, Paul warns believers in Romans 12, not to be influenced by the pressures of the world, but instead, to be shaped by the Word of God. As we pursue holiness, the Scriptures not only enable us to more accurately see our sin, but also to more fully understand our Savior. As God renews our minds and transforms our lives, we become more able to discern what is good, and more willing to devote our lives to him.
