Population: 34,576,665 Believers: 11.6%. The Quechua and Aymara peoples, descendants of the Incas, are emerging from centuries of oppression, cultural deprivation, grinding poverty, and isolation. The Quechua church is flourishing as Christianity at last becomes indigenized in Scriptures, structures, worship, and music. Pray for: a) Millions of mountain Quechua and Aymara still bound by superstitions of pagan and “Christian” origin; b) The Bible translation teams and for widespread use of these new resources; c) The full reconciliation between Quechua and Spanish speakers at the foot of the cross, and the full integration of all ethnic groups into national Christian life. The Parkside Membership Course is a three-week series that gives an overview of who we are and what we believe as a church. The course meets on the first three Sundays of each month, except for certain holiday Sundays. The classes do not need to be completed sequentially and you do not need to pre-register to attend. This is a great course for those looking to become members as well as those interested in finding out more about Parkside Church. The next series of classes begins Sunday, October 5th, at 10:30am in Room B208.
