- Details: Please pray for the opportunities the Lord is opening to the immigrant and refugee communities around the U.S. At one camp in Lancaster, PA, this summer, two-thirds of the campers were African refugees. The BBC has designated Lancaster as the “refugee capital” of the U.S. based on the large number of refugees resettled there in recent years—as high as 20 times the national average. In Pittsburgh, the Ambassadors staff is facing a spiritual battle as the executive director of the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh is trying to stop Muslim kids from attending their programs. Children of Muslim families have been coming home from programs and talking about Jesus and creating conflict within their homes. Pray for discernment for the staff in handling the situation. Namibia (Africa). Population: 3,092,817 Believers: 12.2%. Several strategic groups formed to see Namibia transformed for Christ. Pray for all to hear the gospel once again and many to turn back to Christ and pray for unity and cooperation among all groups seeking to uplift Christ in this nation. Pray for current and future pastors and leaders to be trained and formed to God’s standards. Pray also that the mainline training institutes would capture a love and respect for God’s Word.
