Details: During the summer, The City Mission offers the children at Laura’s Home a program to engage them in a variety of activities—sports and field trips combined with academic preparations for the coming school year. They learn more about God, how to get along with each other, and to practice good manners as they enjoy fun vacation activities. Pray for the staff and volunteers of this Pathways program as they seek to reach hearts and change lives through the transforming power of God’s love. Guinea-Bissau (Africa). Population: 2,249,515 Believers: 1.6%. Church leadership is solid, mature, and indigenous, with increasingly well-organized training programs for general discipleship and for pastoral training. But poorer and more remote rural congregations are much less appealing to workers and are therefore neglected. Pray for the vision of the evangelical church to be fulfilled and for trained, passionate national workers to go to the remote and unreached parts of Guinea-Bissau and to the entire region.
