Those of you who visit our desktop website will notice that it’s been updated this week! The desktop site has been given an entirely new look, and the mobile site navigation has been updated to match the new navigation of the desktop. This new site is a vast improvement in both aesthetics and function, and we hope that it’s a help to you going forward.

With that in mind, we want to make you aware of a few items that will assist you as you visit our site.

New Categories

Our pages have been reorganized under new categories: Visit, Learn, Connect, and Serve. As you think about how you need to interact with the site, let these categories guide you. We included some of the most commonly visited places in the sample questions below.

Question: Where can I find Sunday sermons?
Answer: You’ll find that in the Learn tab, where all of our resources and church courses are.

Question: Where do I sign up for an event that I’ve seen advertised?
Answer: Make a note of the short-cut link from the bulletin or Sunday slideshow (Example: www.parksidechurch.com/Biblewalk), and type that in the address bar; OR, click on Visit, and then Event Registrations which is located under News & Events. All event registrations are listed there.

Question: Where do I go to place a classified ad now?
Answer: You have two paths. The first is under the Connect tab. The second is a direct link from the homepage footer.

Question: How can I get back to the homepage?
Answer: Click on the Parkside logo at the top of any page.

Question: Where do I find out more about Sunday Life Groups?
Answer: Click on the Connect tab, and you’ll see a category for all our ministries including Life Groups.

Improved Calendar

The Parkside calendar has been improved and given added functionality. You’ll find that events are now color-coded according to their type (adult, children, students, etc.), and we’ve added a sort feature that allows you to turn off categories you don’t want to see. If you’d like to see only children’s events, you now can! (The default view is set to show all the categories.) One further note: the mini-calendar on the left of the page allows you to select any date and view all of the events for that date.

We are currently working on some minor post-launch tweaks, so we appreciate your patience as we do this. If you notice a problem or broken link, kindly contact us through the contact form on the site and make a note of it there. We’ll get that item fixed as soon as we can. Thank you!
