    Grieving With Hope Spring 2026

    If you are grieving the loss of a loved one and would welcome help from the Bible and the warm encouragement of others in similar circumstances, join us for an eight-week care group beginning on March 26, at 7pm, in Room A224. There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested.

    March 2026 Widows Connection Lunch

    All widows are invited to join us on Sunday, March 22, at noon, in Room A226, for lunch and time of fellowship and encouragement as we begin our spring series, "Conversations with Jesus." We will focus on the promise of living water as we discuss the story of the woman at the well.

  • Widows Connection Spring 2026 Dates

    Widows Connection provides a safe space for widows to encourage, equip, and engage with one another through the instruction of the Word of God and our experiences in widowhood. Our hope is to live in such a way that we bring God glory in our relationships with Jesus, at home, at work, in the community, and in our church.

     

    All widows are invited for our three Sunday gatherings this spring as we study "Conversations with Jesus," focusing on God's physical and spiritual provisions found in the stories of the woman at the well, the paralytic, and the thief on the cross. 

     

    These gatherings are held in Room A226 from noon-2pm and are provided at no cost. They are open to the community, so save the dates and feel free to bring a friend!

    *May 17- Heaven

    All widows are invited to a festive lunch as we celebrate the Christmas season together with a time of delicious food, special music, fun, and a message of hope on Sunday, December 14, at noon in the Venue. Invite a friend and join us!

     Widows Summer Luncheon

    Join us on Sunday, September 14, at noon on the Parkside Patio for lunch and time of fellowship and encouragement. If it rains, we will meet in Room A226.

     

    October Widows Connection

    Our October Widows Connection is Sunday, October 12, at noon in Room A226. We will enjoy lunch, offer a special GriefShare seminar called Surviving the Holidays, and assemble Christmas crafts for the kindergarten children of Heritage Classical Academy.

    2025 Widows Connection Summer Series

    Widows Connection Summer Dinner/Video Series - The Connection That Counts

    Widows are invited to a series of five summer gatherings. This series is purposeful to help equip newer widows (those widowed under two years or those feeling stuck) in navigating widowhood. Each evening will include a fellowship time over a light dinner, time in God's Word, video presentation, discussion, and prayer.

     

    Time: Mondays from 6-8pm

    May 2025 Widows Connection

    We will study a widow of the Bible and learn more about God’s grace and his provision for widows. We will also have an opportunity to learn and ask questions about legal issues, wills, estates, and Social Security from Sue Slabaugh, who is an estate attorney.

    2025 Widows Connection Middlefield Trip

    Location: Middlefield, OH

    Experience lunch in an Amish home in Middlefield, Ohio!

    You are invited to enjoy fellowship and a luncheon in the home of an Amish family. These meals are traditionally served as an "Amish Wedding Dinner" in the Amish community and our host is making it special for our Widows Connection gathering. We hope you will join us for an afternoon in Middlefield.
