Why Are You So Angry?
Why was Jonah so angry when the Ninevites came to faith? Wasn’t that the purpose of his mission? While enjoying God’s merciful protection for himself, Jonah resented the salvation of those he considered undeserving. Similarly, when life doesn’t meet our expectations, like Jonah, we can become resentful and self-absorbed, and lose sight of God’s redemptive plan. Once we truly grasp the concept of grace, though, the Lord can transform our brooding and move us toward repentance and forgiveness.
