When the Going Gets Hard
How can someone be in the right before God? Job asked this surprising question when dealing with the death of his children and the loss of his earthly possessions. Frightened by God’s power and feeling God’s absence, Job wrestled with how to face his situation. Despite his circumstances, Job was concerned with his standing before God acknowledging his need for a mediator. In this sermon Pastor Jonathan Holmes teaches listeners that the only one who can represent us before God is Jesus Christ, and though each of us is more sinful than we know, at the cross of Christ we are more loved than we could ever imagine.
