An Unlikely Love Story
The book of Hosea, written against a backdrop of wickedness and rebellion, depicts the unlikely story of God’s relentless love for His people. Working through the prophet Hosea, God issues a wake-up call to a crumbling Israel. In a shocking display of covenant love, God makes clear His intention to pursue those He loves, punish their unfaithfulness, and fulfill His promise to call them a people of His own. When we enter into a relationship with Christ, we can claim God’s promise, and the parable of our life changes from "lost and wandering" to a message of redemption and everlasting love.
