THE Trustworthy Statement
Just as there are many who teach false variations of the Gospel today, so it was in the first century. That is why Paul’s first letter to Timothy emphasized the centrality and veracity of the Gospel of Christ Jesus. Because each of us has broken God’s law, we are all condemned, but in Christ, all people are offered salvation. While the world is offered the Gospel, individuals must accept it and apply it understanding that it is not our performance, but Christ’s work on the cross that saves.
