As God’s mouthpiece, Habukkuk declared God’s word to Israel, who were in rebellion. Though he questioned God’s purposes, the prophet also listened to His response: that the righteous will live by faith. As Alistair Begg explains, God works salvation through Christ, and one day the earth will be filled with His glory.
