Pure Speech from a Pure Heart
When we encounter something labeled “poisonous” we are quick to guard ourselves from being exposed to it, but according to James we all possess within us a dangerous source of poison- our tongues. In the verses presented in this sermon James warns of the powerful yet problematic nature of our tongues. Because no one is capable of taming the tongue our only hope is for our hearts to be purified by the blood of Jesus Christ.
