A Prayer for Endurance
Jesus promised that those who put their trust in Him would endure great affliction. How, then, are we to remain steadfast in faith until Christ’s return? In his prayers for the persecuted Thessalonians, Paul asked the Lord to grow the saints in love for one another. This God-given love, Nick Spurgeon explains, enables believers to serve sacrificially and encourage one another to persevere in holiness.
