The People of God

Morning Service
Feb 4, 2024

What does it mean to be the people of God? Exodus 19 depicts how the Israelites’ condition as slaves in Egypt parallels our spiritual condition outside of Christ. Throughout history, God has always called his people to himself, in order to give them a new identity. We are not defined by what we’ve done–not our failures or successes, but by what has been accomplished for us in Christ. We, like the Israelites need to be continually reminded that we are his redeemed people, treasured in Christ, and sent out to show God’s love and grace to the world.
