The More Excellent Way
Believers are distributors of God's love. In 1 Corinthians 13, the apostle Paul focuses on love as the foundation of our faith, declaring that without love, our words are nothing but noise. This kind of love is found first in God, who loved us while we were still sinners, and is personally reflected in Jesus, who, on account of love, died for our sins. For the believer, saving faith does not trust in who we are and what we do for God, but in Jesus and what he’s already done for us. As we abide in him, our Christlike love will grow progressively.
