After cruelly murdering Ish-bosheth, Rechab and Baanah brought his head to David, claiming they’d done the Lord’s will and hoping to gain the king’s favor. Instead, David had the brothers put to death. The evil actions of wicked people are not the work of God, Alistair Begg clarifies—though He can surely use them to advance His purposes.
