Jesus Calms the Storm
After a busy day of conflict and ministry, Mark 4 records that Jesus led his disciples into a boat, across the see of Galilee, and into a sudden, violent storm. The storm was unexpected, but it had a purpose with the plan of God: it revealed the disciples' worry that their circumstances might overcome them, and it demonstrated the glory of the Lord Jesus. In this Jesus, we have everything that we need in times of difficulty. He will never abandon us, His Word will never fail, and we can trust Him completely.
